Eva is a geobiologist and isotope geochemist interested in the origin and early evolution of life on Earth and implications for our search for life on other planets. She obtained a BSc from the Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany, and a PhD from the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. After a postdoc at the University of California Riverside, she joined the University of St Andrews in 2017.
