Dr Yongjun Lu is currently Acting Manager Analytical Data Acquisition at the Geological Survey of Western Australia. As a globally recognized expert in the application of geochronology, isotope geology and mineral chemistry to mineral systems and crustal evolution, Yongjun and his team have developed extensive international collaborations spanning government, industry and academia. His innovative research and unique insights have made a significant impact on scientific perspectives, reshaping both industry practices and academic understanding. His contributions to economic geology were also acknowledged in 2018 with the prestigious international Waldemar Lindgren Award from the Society of Economic Geologists.
